ECCI, a tool for...

The Education Choice and Competition Index provides information on the extent to which parents can choose schools for their children and the degree to which the procedures for school choice promote competition within the largest school districts in America. Letter grades for individual districts indicate the degree to which they have achieved predetermined standards for choice and competition that have been recommended by experts. Comparisons of scores between districts indicate how well individual districts perform with respect to their peers. The Index is a living website that is updated at least annually with new information and with the inclusion of additional districts. The Index is an important tool for policymakers, parents, and voters who are interested in the availability of choice and competition in K-12 education.
